Africa Climate and Development Logic- The hidden Tenets

I have often said that Africa’s hope lies with the youth. What makes youth so important?. I have qualified this statement repeatedly by saying that youthfulness is ideas. It is ideas that shape development and society. I say this to encourage those who have ideas not to shy away from the solutions space and instead step to the plate. Africa’s transformation will be through its sovereign capital — the billions across the continent & globe. But they need to step to the plate with what they have. So when I say Africa’s hope lies with the youth, it is a rallying call to all with ideas to turn challenges into opportunities to step into the solutions space.
We need what I call the “5i’s”—ideas, innovations, Incentives, Institutions and Implementation.
Incentives, are the most significant gap. Ideas and innovations — we do pretty well as a continent. Part of incentives is an inspiration. People need to be inspired to take action by familiarising themselves with policies already in place and applying themselves to take action using what they already have towards implementation. This show is meant to inspire people to action, and I believe more will get to the action.
